Mini shoot lighting test: Grundgey

Recently had a little mini photoshoot with the ever wonderful and very patient Mel and Chantelle, two awesome cosplayers and people to boot.  They are always very patient with me as i’m still learning the ins and outs of lighting and photography. Just this past weekend I met up with the two lovelies and had a mini shoot working more on a darker harsher lighting than the usual bright and airy, I wanted more of a raw, and dirty light, if that makes sense.  Also this is the first shoot that I used my own equipment, last time I used to borrow off fellow photographers neil, elias and nakey who also taught me about lighting, what flashes to buy, what position to place them in and led me in the right direction of how lighting should be used.  I can’t thank these guys enough as they always help me out when I’m in need of advice.   Anyways here are some shots from the shoot, tell me what you think or even if you have any advice yourself on what I could have done better to make these shots a little more edgey.  To see the rest of the shoot you can see them here.
